Canada and the UAE are strengthening trade ties through a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), taking effect in 2027. The deal aims to remove or reduce tariffs on more than 99% of Canada’s exports to the UAE and expand market access.

With bilateral trade worth around $2.5 billion in 2026 and the UAE pledging up to $50 billion in Canadian investments, both countries are targeting deeper economic cooperation.

“The UAE is committed to further strengthening its relations with Canada” through long-term strategic partnerships, Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said, according to Arabian Business.
